ZEN ARTS GROUP proudly presents Choro Encounter by Rogerios Souza and Taigo do Bandolim!

This concert is part of the Choro Festival (Oct 20-22), with other events at the Couth Buzzard.

Choro Encounter: Rio de Janeiro - Seattle

Choro is a Brazilian acoustic instrumental music that is highly melodic and musically complex, and is still evolving to this day. Master 7-string guitarist, Rogério Souza, and master Bandolinist (Brazilian mandolin) Tiago do Bandolim, both from Rio de Janeiro, come from a long line of Choro music tradition that originated in 19th century Rio de Janeiro. They will be joined by Seattle-based Bandolim player Naoyuki Sawada and other Choro musicians in a performance of traditional and modern Choro music.
